Applicability
China’s SPRO regulations apply to international shipowners and operators whose vessels:
- Carry oil or hazardous and noxious substances (HNS), or
- Exceed 10,000 gross tons, and
- Call at or operate within mainland Chinese ports
Resolve Marine supports this requirement through its China joint venture, Shanghai Resolve-Shengmin OSRO Co., Ltd. (SRSOC), a Level 1 SPRO provider in Shanghai, and through SRMC’s agency role covering ports outside Shanghai.
